Math is divided into four strands. We cover operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, geometry, and measurement and data.

Operations and Algebraic Thinking
Students learn proficiency in addition and subtraction, break down problems, choose operations, develop strategies for solving routine and non routine problems.

Number and Operations in Base Ten
Students extend the counting sequence to 120 and understand and use place value to solve problems.

Measurement and Data
Students measure length, tell and write time to the hour and half-hour, work with money, and represents and interprets data using various graphs.

Geometry
Students reason with shapes and their attributes. They can understand that shapes can be put together to make new shapes and that shapes can be divided into parts.
